I had the exact same conversation with my mother when I went to university. It took me eight months to find the box my books were packed in when I moved back. Not having a bedroom hindered things.

I found them last year in the garage with my winter clothes and made Mum buy me bookcases for them to go on so they weren’t just in a box or lying around on the floor (which is where most of them are now since I use them as references in my writing.)
